Surgery has been postponed to Feb 9th. The surgeon wants to bring in a specialist so they can hopefully save the valve so I'm not on blood thinners the rest of my life. At least it gives me a couple more weeks, but means I won't be recovered before my birthday.

Turns out losing access to your brain meds can trigger a TMJ flare up, resulting in a 2-week migraine that takes you out of work. I hoped to spend the weeks leading up to surgery tucking away some funds, but man plans, and god laughs. A little for food & rides to/from the hospital would help a lot.

Ooblets is a fantastic game. It came out in early access and they made it to 1.0 and beyond. I spent hours on hours building little houses for my silly little guys, dancing, and getting sassed by cute girls. It's a joy and if you haven't played it, you should.
