I gave it some thought, on top of my current projects, I’ll be revisiting my Pokemon trainer sprite conversions. I plan on resuming where I last left off. I’ll make sure the finished sprites are posted somewhere convenient and accessible.

Quoting another one of these to back up my previous quote post.

A genuine question; If I ever considered revisiting Pokemon Trainer spriting, would anyone be fine with that? I stopped awhile back because nobody seemed to care, nor seemed interested in my trainer sprites. I last left off experimenting with style combos, and sprite conversions from DS to GBA.

Trying to hype myself to make an inch of progress on something before the month is over.

Ended up updating my sprite again as I was reformatting the main sheet. Gonna finish organizing stuff, then I’ll try to do some more action animations for the project. (Original hat shape & mustache on the left, while the new hat shake & stache is on the right).

RIP Guy Moon, the composer for several series, including Fairly OddParents (and the rest of Butch Hartman's work), 2 Stupid Dogs, Cow and Chicken, Ned's Declassified, Big Time Rush, Back in the Barnyard, and many more. He was 63 years old.

As a hobbyist, sometimes it feels like my output for pixel art is lacking. I see so many people pumping out impressive works so frequently, but I'm proud of my lineup here for this year. Two sprite sheets, a few sprite animations, and a couple of smaller tribute pieces - this was a pretty good year!

Updated Tails, plus they’ll have alternate eye options too.

Wanted to talk about my goal regarding this. I’m gonna use Mario’s OW set as a frame work, then work on some unique stuff afterwords. Once the overworld set is complete, I’ll do the same with the battle sprites, then release both sheets together on TSR & MFGG. Trial & error, I want to finish it.

Definition of insanity

Two things: Model’s Resource’s new model viewer is such a godsend. I really should’ve used the Sonic Adventure 2 model as a reference sooner, man. (I know spriting over models is frowned upon sometimes, but man, the results feel SO MUCH more satisfying than ever before.)

Not gonna do a ‘sprite work of the year’ post this year, as I feel like there were way too much revisits/revamps/continuations this year and less of anything *new* in general. It’s been a rough year in general, and I hope to get more rest and try to get stuff completed for once in the new year.

learning a new style so here are the Elephant Bros

Learning how to hue shift later. Probably won’t use it too much (given that most of my work is style emulation), but it’s still something neat to learn for any original project I might pick up.

Been playing around with it for the last two-ish hours, with a friend helping guide me on how to use certain functions. I think there’s still a bit more for me to learn, but for the time being, I definitely see a better future ahead now that I have Aseprite.
