What a fantastic weekend we had. 20 former volunteers visited us in person and 2 extra online. Wonderful to catch up and hear how people are doing and such a good buzz at our Saturday evening social and church on the Sunday. I’m feeling so grateful for so many wonderful international friends!

Really enjoyed visiting the Whitworth Art Gallery yesterday. Highly recommend visiting whilst the Barbara Walker exhibition is there as it’s superb and really thought-provoking.

Been to see this film today and I think it’s brilliant. Powerful, moving, sad, uplifting. Fantastic performances all around, wonderful music, some dodgy reinterpretations of history but it all works well. Joan Baez rightly tells him in the film that he’s an asshole but he is a very talented asshole!

Well that is it. All 300 km of #gmringway walked during 2024. Stage 20 was a lovely stroll in winter sunshine from Stretford via the Quays into town. I highly recommend doing the walks. We have discovered wonderful new places and found out what lies between familiar destinations.

Yesterday we did our penultimate stage of #gmringway, Irlam to Altrincham, in the somewhat eerie fog. As we did stage 19 a few weeks ago (out of order!) we only have the final stage 20 to go!
