Indeed this is perfection.

While walking the dog yesterday I was thinking about how one of the major themes of the Bible is that humans are often, as a species, a huge disappointment, and in that moment I felt closer to organized religion than I have in decades.

That feeling when you are compelled to send an email to your Dem senator screaming about the fact that the 25th Amendment isn't there for decoration, and then you remember that your Dem senator is John Fucking Fetterman.

This has momentarily soothed my tormented soul.

I've gotta say, harmonizing the idea that executing protesters in Minneapolis is cool with the idea that executing protesters in Iran is evil is one hell of a heavy rationalization lift, even for the MAGA crowd.

I will add that there has often been a weird, scratchy layer of sexism over the whole thing, a “take a Valium, lady” attitude that I’ve occasionally felt like sandpaper since I first said Trump was a fascist in 2015.
