#RPDaDay2024 [28] Mimic/Spell Yes, I know, there is no spell option in the quest column. The spell lets the target appear as if the it into the social milieu. This includes that people will assume they are part of their culture and even hear their own accent when the target speaks.

#RPDaDay2024 [27] Shapeshifting/? NPC? Encounter? Something else? Today I make a case for shapeshifting not being a symptom of deceitfulness as it so often is used in myth and fantasy. Instead it might be a good idea to look at it as a positive trait of adaptation and willingness to grow.

#RPDaDay2024 [26] Tattoo/Monster It might look like a tattoo, but it is a parasite in reality. If the host dies it can move one to the next person, who will be then controlled by the monster. This means it can be a great occurring villain who can only identified on their telltale tattoo.

#RPDaDay2024 [21] Disaster/Legend To capture the magical thinking of premodernity in our games, maybe have the silly notion of people making sacrifices to appease the deities. Pulp stories often had that, but why do we see that so rarely in the TTRPG hobby?

#RPDaDay2024 [20] Battle/Monster The Tarrasque is not a new monster, and it serves here are a stand-in for pretty much any Kaiju sized creature. The battle is not against it, but on it. Destruction is futile, but being able to at least direct the path of destruction is worth a try.

#RPDaDay2024 [16] AI/NPC The dream of immortality came true, even though in a perverted way. based on swarms of nano-droids which emulate the brain activities the person originally had. Thus giving the impression the person is still around even though it is just an AI that inhabits the body now.

#RPDaDay2024 [16] Dungeon/Item The treasure of an ancient dungeon is a magical hairbrush.It only works if one is brushing the hair of another person. The one receiving the brushing regains some hit points or has their stress reduced. A person can receive this benefit only once per day.

#RPDaDay2024 [15] Genetics/Quest The modern Frankenstein idea is no longer about collecting body parts, but instead sampling DNA and composing those to create the apex specimen. Sure, that is not how science works, but it could still contain a few interesting TTRPG adventures.
