Today, the High Court held that the @northernireland.gov.uk acted unlawfully in failing to adopt an Anti-Poverty Strategy. The case against DfC and the FM & DFM was dismissed. This is a strong outcome that vindicates those who have campaigned for an APS and supported the case. ✊

In 2024 the UN CERD committee raised concerns about “racial profiling practices by immigration officers during custom checks when travelling between Northern Ireland and other parts of the United Kingdom and Ireland" yet no action has been taken to end the practice.
