Scientists from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) have uncovered a brand-new marine tardigrade, also known as a “water bear” along the shores of Labuan. Officially named Batillipes malaysianus in honour of Malaysia, this is the first new marine water bear recorded in the country in over 50 years.
