@hiker-huw.bsky.social Saw your photo of #Pompeii and thought I'd share this one. The day I was there, a huge cloud formed over Vesuvius in an otherwise clear blue sky. Somewhat spooky, but it gave me a good idea of what it must have been like to see the volcano suddenly erupting.

I presume that the noises on this clip are from the fox rather than another nearby animal? This is in my front garden and it seems odd that it should be drawing attention to itself when it's usually super-cautious and checking its surroundings every few seconds. #urbanfox #foxes #wildlife

#hedgehogs When you suddenly realise you're not alone... This is the second hog to appear at my new house in less than a week - I'm so pleased. I think the smaller one is a female and the newcomer a male, judging by their subsequent behaviour. Circling from him, huffing and puffing from her!

Moved into a new rented house on 21 March that has no back garden access for #hedgehogs and was missing my spiky visitors from my old place... then this little munchkin turned up last night to enjoy the water and kitten biscuits that I've been leaving in a sheltered spot out front. 🙂 #wildlife
