The launch of Equinox was a critical moment for Oxford - for our businesses, universities and above all, people. Thanks to everyone involved in this important initiative to promote Oxford innovation - and ensure it’s equitable for all in our city.

While much media attention shifts elsewhere, millions of people continue to suffer in Sudan’s war on civilians. My questions in Parliament on Sudan last week:

I raised residents’ concerns about late medical letters with the local Royal Mail - and was pleased Oxford postal workers put in measures to prioritise NHS mail. Now we need all NHS orgs to adopt the barcode. And I’ll keep pushing for the reliable postal service local residents need.

Good to be out on the #LabourDoorstep in Churchill ward on Sunday with local councillors Liz Brighouse, Susan Brown, and Mark Lygo 🌹 Discussed concerns about anti-social behaviour in the local area, which councillors and myself are taking up including with Oxford Brookes.

It was great to visit The Jungle and find out about all their work supporting local people. It’s clear that The Jungle is a real hub for people of all ages, and I want to pay tribute to everyone involved, from the staff to volunteers and, of course, also the artist Micah Hayns. 1/2

It was brilliant to see children getting trained in how to stay safe while cycling last week at St Andrew's CofE Primary School The bikeability instructors and programme are really well organised to support everyone in getting on a bike, for pleasure and to get from A to B.

There was a good discussion in the Football APPG about taking the #3UP campaign forward.  Enabling another promotion place from the National League into the EFL will #PutFootballFirst, making it more competitive, exciting, and fair. I'm proud to join Oxford City FC in backing this campaign.

Sudan’s humanitarian crisis is the largest in the world. And now more disturbing news is coming from El Fasher of civilians under attack. Civilians must be protected and the fighting must stop.

Last week marked eleven years since Claire Throssell's children were killed by their abusive father.  Claire has been an inspiration to me and to others, campaigning for this much-needed change.  Thanks to her tireless work, with Women's Aid, Marie Tidball and Jess Phillips, children will be safer
