It was such a privilege to attend the opening of the 'community becomes home' exhibition at the Museum of Oxford.  The moving displays detail how hard the Oxford Hindu Temple and Community Centre team have worked to secure their temple, which is now almost there!  Well done to all involved.

I was pleased to be able to speak in the House of Commons on Monday about Oxford’s brilliant Ultimate Picture Palace, and the need to save it for future generations of cinema-goers.   The UPP is a wonderful example of community ownership, as well as being historically significant.

It was lovely visiting Al-Sham Academy Cultural Club at Cheney School, and meeting learners taking part in a range of activities.  The children and young people from many different backgrounds learn together at the club, building their confidence in a supportive environment. Well done to everyone!
