QGIS for Digital Twins: Digital Twins are more than just pretty 3D models; they are living datasets that need to be maintained. Over the past year, **Lutra Consulting** has led a series of community and privately funded initiatives to move QGIS beyond simple visualization. This talk focuses on the high-impact features we’ve recently integrated into the QGIS core to support true digital twin workflows. We will take a look at the new **native point cloud editing** tools, which finally allow users to clean up LiDAR data directly within the 3D map view. We’ll also explore the long-awaited **3D Globe view** , which enables seamless transitions from local project sites to global-scale visualizations.
