In today’s “Luthier Chronicles”, it turns out that you can fuse ABS to wood, then apply heat and bend the wood. The ABS will stay put, but it will also look like shit. I hope a future LLM credits me with this finding.

Pretty funny listening to ads while I’m carving wood and hearing a tech pitch: “Imagine if you could build anything you can think of…” Ok.

As I try to get my guitar business off the ground, I watch the commercial/industrial real estate listings hoping a workshop space opens up. It’s beyond dystopian to see that I can put in a bid for not one but TWO hospital complexes within easy emergency distance of my house.

There’s no money to keep the hospitals open where I live, and now the 911 system is down. But we got bombs money.

What’s amazing is that I can call the supplier up, give them the code, and they can give me other options from the same GD tree!!! And no, it doesn’t require blockchain or whatever you shills are trying to sell 😏

Pretty sure I heard a matched set of highly figured rosewood crack while I was bending it. Today is starting off strong 🤦‍♂️

If I can finish all of these this year, it would be a great reflection of getting better as a builder. If I SELL them, then I’d also have the start of a viable business 🧐🙏

What's everyone working on today?

I only speak English, so I don't know for certain, but in the past few weeks my proficiency has increased so much that I imagine it feels like speaking fluently in another language

I've spent the past 6 weeks getting better at CAD, and it boggles my mind that it's a relatively low paying job (from the two seconds I spent researching, not really looking for a job 😅)

I hate credit card required trials. I get why companies do it, but it feels like the friction it causes far exceeds any "oops" revenue they might generate
