Some kind of librarian. Reader and watcher of art films, gutter trash, and other sordid tales.
Sometimes you go to an antique store and end up coming home with a still sealed laserdisc of early 90s HBO mainstay Side Out and that's okay.

Came across two of the hobo feral kittens all grown up doing some night hunting while I was taking a walk. It was misty and fairly dark and I wouldn't have seen them without their white calico coats. Surprisingly, the night mode on my phone gave me an Accidental Renaissance so I was happy.

I've never been a Holiday Movie movie person but I thought I'd give it a go with some I haven't seen. Tonight it's Remember the Night with Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, and the obvious star: Cow.

Revisiting a Classic: Lux Interior’s Cassette Mixtape, ‘Jesus F*%! It’s Christmas’ | In Sheeps Clothing
Listen to a bounty of holiday heat taken from an XL-II 90 made by the Cramps. The deeper and further you dig into the past, the weirder it gets. All the rebel energy that drives contemporary youth ...

Watching Man Tears: The Movie, errrr Train Dreams. I remember reading the Denis Johnson novella when it was released and getting misty-eyed then, so I'm sure it's going to happen soon!

I love that boutique blu-ray labels have figured out that sweet spot of a neverending supply of backyard SOV movies with 𝘢𝘭𝘭 the extras. Scratches that itch of being a teen who wanted to make movies + seeing the people that actually did it! Blood Brothers: The Mike Diana Film Collection

Working my way through George Wylesol's 2120 this afternoon-- a fun interactive graphic novel in the style of Choose Your Own Adventures/old school point-and-click computer games with the tinges of the modern and surreal horrors of liminal spaces. It gave me a jump scare!

The Halloween season is a nostalgic one for me. I see lawn decorations and kids in costume, and I think back to the time in college when my friend Noah told me he thought the chorus of “Party Up” by DMX was “Y’all gon’ make me lose my mind, Pumpkinhead, Pumpkinhead.”
