Don't want to break my game completion thread, so more notes broken out: My final DQ7 clear time for 3DS vs Reimagined was ~84 vs ~56. Could probably cut 2ish hours off for random job grinding I did this time. Didn't miss what I didn't remember from cut islands. Default difficulty was a breeze.

Another banger chapter of the Avan prequel manga that I can only barely read and still only have 1/4 the context for but I know exactly what I’m seeing right here!

Finished reading Dragon Quest Monsters+ and actually considering writing a real review…? Lots of complicated feelings. Up and down of general enjoyment. Some real creepy shit at times directed towards kids. The monsters themselves were all fantastic characters. Cameos felt earned. Hmm. Yeah. 🤷🏻‍♂️

A few random observations now that we're two weeks in post-wiki-launch: - Bluesky promotion and links truly, actually work - Moderate YouTube referrals; will do more editing streams - Low traffic to this stuff, but more people have directly thanked me for Dragon Quest stuff than anything else

I’m only 20-odd episodes into Dai, so flipping through the prequel manga and seeing this is rad as heck. Incidentally, this is also the V-Jump issue with the Black Freeza reveal.

Really having a day, and it’s only Monday.

One of my favorite parts of working on the wiki is not just brain dumping in general, but having folks like @jlunaars.bsky.social push me for a citation on things, and then digging up... literally me saying the thing on Usenet 28 years ago on exactly the day and topic for everything we need.

Finally managed to sell one of the random SDBH anniversary binders I've had sitting around on eBay, and dude is immediately trying to scam me saying it didn't come with cards. It was sealed, I never said it came with cards, and I showed photos of my own personal copy that doesn't come with cards.
