My entry point into adaptation work was a 2008 talk by journalist Isabel Hilton on the dire implications of the loss of the Himalayan glaciers. After, there was a stunned silence. A voice asked "what can we do?" She said "work on climate adaptation." I wrote down the word "adaptation."

Even IF Tr*mp's damage is contained by courts, the loss of trust in government messaging around #disasters (already low) may degrade our collective #resilience for a long long time. A meta-analysis I did on post-disaster recovery in sub-Saharan Africa put trust in government as the #1 factor.
