The track works for the new line 12 in Vienna is coming along very nicely on Vorgartenstraße.

#transit pic of the day (7) The temporary diversion of route 11B due to the road works for the new tram line 12 earlier this year gave way to this spot for a picture of Vienna's longest buses on Reichsbrücke. DC Tower 1 in the background is Austrias highest skyscraper at 250m.

#transit pic of the day (6) A classic motif for tramspotters in Vienna is the ring line in front of the Austrian parliament building, like here with an E2+c5 set on line 1 in early October.

#transit pic of the day (5) This beautifully restored gem on the right was worked on over several years and debuted in passenger transport again this year in June. Here the historic bendy bus is standing next to the newest addition to Vienna's bus fleet (eCitaro) at Schwechat station.

Today's #transit pic of the day (4) is a welcome to my new British followers! A former London Underground 1938 tube stock class 483 is waiting at Ryde St John's Road for its departure in the summer of 2018. They were the oldest trains still running in Britain back then!

Today's #transit pic of the day (3) can of course only be a picture of the spontaneous tram replacement service for line U1 in the closed core section. Here are two of the three trams that worked on that service yesterday at the main station stop. The right one wrongly displayed "D" as its line.
