During this NG+ run, I will talk about Imani's relationship with the Scions, other relevant characters and her opinions on certain events/cutscenes during each expansion.

Doing my annual NG+ run of the entire MSQ and I realize some similarities between Imani and Thancred. Both charming individuals who changed when they lost people who are important to them. They don't get along at first but are cordial during missions n such.

Canonically, Imani has always been restless, she struggles with getting proper sleep since fully awakening the Echo. She usually gets up and does something else until she's tired enough to fall asleep. Imani does lose track of time so sometimes doing something else turns into not sleeping at all.

(A 🧵?) Imani has permanent inn rooms at The Roost (Gridania), The Pendants (Norvrandt) and The Baldesion Annex (Old Sharlayan). For other inns, Imani either does errands in exchange for staying there short term free of charge or gives the gil to stay for a night or two.

Imani has used a mix of both ranged and melee due to her canon jobs (WHM, WAR and DNC). Pre-ARR, Imani's mother taught her hand to hand combat and during ARR, she applied her knowledge of conjury to herself and is able to use elements in her hands and feet. If Imani is unarmed, she'll throw hands.

Yes and no. No, because violence isn't the first option that Imani chooses during confrontation. Yes, because if she sees that a peaceful resolution is impossible, she will resort to a brutal beat down or even kill someone if she has to. Tl;Dr Imani is violent when she needs to be.
