I've never tried the 8e or the v3, but have tried the v4 kob, and for me it didn't live up to its fluffed up reputation. I then tried the v2 with the aperture tab and its been a great match for me. Plus v2&3's seem to be significantly cheaper than any other versions here, relative to Leica that is.
