🏙️ Most city solutions start above ground, but one of the most powerful teams works deeper. 🌱 Urban soils host entire communities of microbes, insects and fungi that clean water, store carbon and even help regulate local temperatures. This #WorldSoilDay, we celebrate these quiet urban partners.

The Caribbean Trialogue closed its final chapter today with new pathways taking shape. Candice Ramsaran of the Ministry of Planning reflected on how the past three days brought different knowledge systems into one shared space and noted that meaningful change will require everyone working together.

Day 3 continues with country groups working through how the Trialogue’s insights can translate into national action. Discussions touch on partnerships, pilot projects, financing, capacity-building, stakeholder engagement and Indigenous and local knowledge for future road maps.

📌 GEF SGP set a strong tone this morning with stories of community-driven initiatives that make daily interactions with nature more sustainable. During the Innovation Corner, participants visited different booths and explored projects shaped by local leadership and shared stewardship.

Few places show interconnectedness as clearly as a protected wetland. 🌿 At the Pointe à Pierre Wildfowl Trust, scarlet ibis, macaws, ducks and diverse plant life revealed the kind of ecological relationships the Trialogue aims to understand and strengthen. 🌱🤝 #CaribbeanTrialogue

Day 2 of the #CaribbeanTrialogue kicked off at Wa Samaki Permaculture, a landscape shaped by regenerative practice. 🐝 The site hosts a pollinator garden, free-roaming chickens, aquaculture tanks holding more than 70 species and mud houses crafted from clay and natural materials gathered on site. 🛖

Who moves first when droughts deepen or forests fall? 🌳  👩👩🦱 Often women, not because they can’t adapt but because they carry the work of adaptation on their backs. 🌱 Resilience begins when that burden is shared and their leadership is recognized.

A productive close to Day 1 of the Caribbean Trialogue in Trinidad and Tobago! ✨ The Multiple Evidence Base (MEB) session helped illuminate many ways of knowing and doing, before participants harnessed these insights in the co-creation session to explore emerging pathways for integrated solutions.
