Proud to stand amongst 1000s of people in Newcastle today saying no to fascism.

Unfolding Theatre’s mission is to bring people together. We stand against hate. We are sad and troubled by far right protests planned in Newcastle this weekend. However, we are heartened by the actions of many people who work to build connections, understanding and support in the city.

Holidays are great. Coming home to flags is weird. But here’s a good one I spotted in an anti-fascist café in a French village. Peace, love and kindness everyone.

So proud of this lot. Young people from our 3 youth groups came together to perform ‘Serving Up’ to 300+ people at Newcastle’s conference about health inequality. Set in The Future - a restaurant run by children - they served up delicious bites, a few home truths and visions for a better future.

We were delighted to perform at Newcastle City Council's Marmot City Conference! Young people from our three programmes united to deliver Serving Up, inspired by Marcus Rashford’s food poverty campaign. They took centre stage, standing up for change. Huge well done to all - we are so proud of you!
