A Democratic vacancy committee on Tuesday night appointed Rep. William Lindstedt to a state Senate seat for the coming legislative session.

The Trump administration is seeking to overhaul the country’s immigrant detention system in a plan that includes renovating industrial warehouses to hold more than 80,000 immigrant detainees at a time, according to documents reviewed by The Post.

The contract is worth up to $121 million over the next 2 years. BI generally provides ankle monitoring services to ICE/Geo.
