Folk demanding on here that Starmer say exactly what they want to hear him say at exactly the time they want. Real world doesn't operate to the timeline of shouty social media. Very disappointing statements by Starmer and EU leaders in response to the US illegal attack on Venezuela. They have to provide a united front but it's a very weak response. But surely, none of them will accept a US run puppet regime consisting of Maduro's former people while the US steals oil?

Earlier today it was reported that Maduro's VP had fled to Moscow. Later Trump said he had spoken with her and she was going to stay on in Venezuela. Sounds to me like Putin was/is involved in it and will be getting a portion of their oil. This has nothing to do with making Venezuela free.

This action in Venezuela needs a unified response/condemnation from the UK with other European nations/EU members. Trump has shown his hostility to the West and the EU in particular. Now is the time to push back against him.
