The Yuba-Bear Hydroelectric Project spans the Middle Yuba, South Yuba, and Bear Rivers. Built in the 1960s, the system includes 13 dams, 11 reservoirs, and 4 powerhouses. It supplies water and electricity across the region, but it also diverts water away from creeks and rivers. buff.ly/zTlrVos

Protect Yuba River Wildlife — Governor Newsom Must Act by October 12! The Yuba River is home to some of California’s most threatened species — spring-run Chinook salmon, Central Valley steelhead, Foothill yellow-legged frogs, Western pond turtles, and tricolored blackbirds.
