Media and digital literacy are key to disrupting disinformation. --clapping back/arguing just helps to amplify bad faith accounts & false material --don't share "funny" disinfo to dunk on it; some will still believe it --BLOCK, REPORT, and tell others to do same *without* sharing disinfo content

Falsified pharmaceutical opioids that look like regular oxycodone pills found to contain strong opioids has now been reported in many countries... we need drug checking and harm reduction, and we also need to make sure that peoplewho need prescription opioids can access them through medical channels

Some good news to finish the year. It was just announced that I was lucky enough to receive 5-years NHMRC Investigator Grant funding to continue my work on preventing opioid-related mortality. Bring on 2024! Can't wait to start this work!

It seems hard to believe that in 2023 we are struggling with basic
