I made my first pikimins last summer and I made 2 orange ones just for fun, I was scared because theres no orange pikmin in the game but at my last convention a group of pikmin people (cosplayed) came, got them "these ones ate too much tangerines!!" and they also got 2 yellow ones and I almost cried

Ultimately, trying to use marketing tricks to convince people to engage with your art will never net you a sincere audience. If you want people to truly appreciate what you create then create honestly and unabashedly.

You are not a vending machine that dispenses creations, you need time for yourself and food and comfort. You are not infallible, you will make mistakes and fall behind schedules. These are simply aspects of being human.
