Coffee Run across Okaloosa Island this morning and I can't believe how low the water is on south side of Choctawhatchee Bay. Crab Island is huge and the shoreline has more exposed sand than I have ever seen. 28 degrees with a very bright sun and brilliant blue sky. No photos, too cold to walkabout.

Hurrah! Power restored, clean clothes happened, computer back on duty. I am truly grateful. I send Good Karma to all the rest of you out there in storm regions and power outages. My discomfort was for a brief time, yet even that makes me grateful for when everything works.

Power returned but computer won't work. Not happy. I am thankful the washers reset and are doing the job again.

Power off during heavy rain and wind storm. Ten minutes ago before that I put in three loads of clothes in the washer. Not happy.

Unusual profession

I found a home for my goofy crocheted purses. I am just not going to use them anymore and they need to be released into the world. I had fun creating them, but my lifestyle has changed. I don't need extra accessories. Hopefully the recipient will enjoy and use them.

I found a bag with an unfinished crochet blanket and yarn that I forgot about. It makes me happy to crochet, increases my Good Karma, soothes me in this restless world. I will complete it this evening. I hope whoever finds this at the charity shop likes it. Also found someone to take the jewelry.

I found a box in the closet that had a Christmas present for my grandson than I forgot about. Decluttering is good today.

I tossed my flowered shoes. Oh how I recall traipsing merrily along the village square past the stately old courthouse, skipping up worn stairs to the Carnegie Library where I worked. Making my way past the books like the fairy child I was. I am old now and I had to let the flowered shoes go.

Now I am finding things I didn't know I had. Either dementia is talking or the Cool Stuff Fairies have visited again.

The bookshelf is proving difficult to clear. Sentimental feelings for days gone by. Song books, nature guides, souvenirs from my mother, my sons, and travels. I may need to move to another area for a bit.

Look what I found when sorting stuff in the back of the closet. My little houses! They are staying.

The levee is still down. More stuff moving to other locations. Five bags loaded in the car just now. Some things easy to let go, like this calendar from 2018. Next is sorting the large shelf of books. Remove, relocate, redesign.

Need your opinions. I am seriously purging stuff. Trinkets, souvenirs, clothing, this and that and more of the same. Do I send it to the charity shop or dumpster? I have no one to pass stuff on to. No possibility of garage sale, etc. What do you do with your stuff?

Earlier I was frustrated trying to deal with multiple customer service people. I took my own advice and went for a short drive. Bought hazelnut coffee. Let the sun warm my soul.
