Found records of ancestors way back who lived in Belgium, so I spent the last two hours watching videos. I really enjoyed riding around in boats, drinking beer, eating chocolate, soaking up marvelous art & architecture. I love time travel. (Tip: Transporting to Belgium must better than Waffle House)

You know that Other Big Job that I didn't want to ask for help with? Well, I did. The friendly and efficient repairman has come and gone and now everybody is happy.

I get all the bonus points. After feeling sorry for myself for 10 minutes, I tackled the biggest job that needed to be done. It is done. I am now done feeling sorry for myself and will move forward. I will move forward. Forward, I will go.

It is very difficult for me to ask for help. I was taught to be self sufficient and to ask for help is wrong. My father and husband said don't ask for help because no one wants to help you. But sometimes I wish there was someone who could just do something. Not money, just help with the work.

Take a break from ugly politics. Find some peculiar background music on YouTube in one window. Then find some very cool people making handcrafted whatevers in another window. Let your shoulders relax, breathe in and out. Think about mellow times, create with your own hands and ideas. Improvement.

Earth Day. We have traveled both ways on this road now but didn't mark the paths well enough to remember where it is until the next time we find it. Only one pelican was witness.

Three-way discussion about tomorrow's plan and the other two are not available. So, I went with this: I will quote the Eagles: (sort of) I guess I will have to eat my lunch by myself because I'm already gone. Do you even know that song? Both of them knew the song, way before their time. Do you?

Grandson has certain tells. When I begin a conversation with "I have a job for you to help me with", his eyes gloss over and he starts thinking about excuses. I have certainly seen that look in other certain relatives. You know who you are.

Random Gratitude Post: The Taekwondo Master asked my grandson if he had a good day. He said yes because he was with his grandma and we were laughing so much. It's true, this was a Laughing Day.

Random Gratitude Post: Second week in a row that I was included in the Bench Discussions. Last week was USAF mom, today was a grandmother from California. There are so many interesting people out there. Once in awhile, I talk to them. I have been trying so hard to remain incognito, but there it is.

Then we stopped here for a moment. The pelicans were gone.

Lunch at the park with a book. OH! A brown crab jumped on my ankle. Not sure who was more freaked out, me or the new friend. Too shy for photo, it scurried under the pipe.

Saw a post from a guy complaining about people who make their hot tea in the microwave. Hey, man, sometimes, you have to do whatever you can to get through the day. (Takes a sip of hot tea from the microwave.) This is by far not my worst sin.

Found some new friends on Bluesky. Wishing you all Good Karma. I have written so much today that my neck hurts from sitting in this position. Taking a quick break to release the tension and sit back realizing how much there is left to do on this section yet tonight.

Where did this pretty leaf come from? I found it on the floor where I have walked many times earlier and didn't notice. Very dry so didn't blow in because it is raining outside. No other live beings around. I think it brings Good Karma.

Random Gratitude Post: Wonderful visit with the grandson. Great conversation about Star Wars trivia. He told me he hadn't brushed his teeth in two months. He was kidding, just wanted to see my reaction. He thinks up ways to make me laugh.

I found a cool record of more ancestors who came from Norway to New Amsterdam in 1625. They were ship's carpenters and recruited by the Dutch West India Company because they knew how to render pitch from pine trees to be used in the shipping industry. I love these stories!

Woman at CVS drive through had small handwritten sign said Stay Wild in back window. Driving ancient Falcon with serious engine trouble. She looked like Darlene Snell on Ozark. Waving her arms frantically. Threw money in box and tried to drive off but car sputtering. I gave her a wide berth.

I'm going to back to bed. This day is not working yet.

Whew, some stuff was written and edited. Not that much. Oh? How many pages are done on this part? Two. Get back to work.

Random Gratitude Post: Dolphins came to visit me! Two ospreys diving for fish in their wake. Their nest is huge; I wonder if they have babies waiting for that fish. A friendly lizard creeps up the corner stretching his neck to watch the dolphins and ospreys with me.

I have received word that my cousin-in-law has died, a month after her husband died. They had four children and I know this will be hard to lose both parents in a short time. They were both in their 80s, lived nice, full lives from the same small town throughout all those years together. ☮️

Oh man. I bought a different kind of hot salsa and it tastes terrible. Very runny with no substance. I am going to throw away the whole jar. It was buy one, get one free for the chips, so now I have chips and no salsa. I need to send some of the staff back to the store.

Odd Day. For awhile, the search went backwards, then N made a suggestion and that fixed the path. Next the different kinds of workers got loudly busy. Then the woman with the odd accent was carrying bleach down the road. I am curious where she is from, but have no interest in the bleach.
