An Autumnal feel at the garden Moth light this morning. Amongst the common migrants was another fresh Bordered Straw, and it's always nice to see the attractive Rhyacionia pinicolana.

Oncocera semirubella was new for our S.Yorkshire garden last night. I'm not sure of its status in VC63, there are no records on the Yorkshire Moths website. Other species of interest included Lesser-spotted Pinion, Antler and Ypsolopha horridella. #TeamMoth

21 Tree-lichen Beauty to light in our S.Yorkshire garden last night on a crazily busy night. From my first record of the Moth in 2021, numbers have increased significantly in our VC63 garden and hopefully this attractive species will continue to thrive. #TeamMoth

Argent and Sable at Bishop Wood, Yorks. today. We saw seven, (fewer than on previous visits), and were lucky enough to find one basking in the warm sunshine near the edge of the track, allowing us to get a few clear photo's before it flew into the woodland.
