Happy Passover!

Last week, we passed the Family Care Act in the PA House. This legislation puts working families first by establishing paid leave, giving eligible workers up to 12 weeks off for major life events such as the birth of their child, medical treatment, or caring for family. It is now in the PA Senate.

I am committed to being an ally for the trans community and advocating for their rights and respect, not just on this #TransDayOfVisisbility, but EVERY day.

My legislative colleague Senator Joe Picozzi and I stood with families to recognize Profound Autism Day. People with profound autism deserve to be heard and their caregivers need real support. We must invest in DSP wages and respite care to build a system that works for everyone.

It’s past time we #RaiseTheWage in Pennsylvania! Yesterday, I was proud to help pass legislation in the PA House to increase our state’s minimum wage.

We all live under and carry the same light from the sun. I recently asked my colleagues in the #PaHouse to take a moment for silent worship and reflection on the everyday wonder that God creates for us.

Please note that this Thursday, March 26, the ramp from I-95 South to Aramingo Avenue (Exit 26) will be closed for construction from 9 P.M. until 5 A.M. the following morning.

I was proud to join my colleague @repleanne.com and advocates at the State Capitol to celebrate the ribbon cutting for a new handicap-accessible bathroom. I will continue pushing for a more inclusive, equitable and fair Pennsylvania for our neighbors with disabilities.

As data centers arrive in our communities, it's imperative that they are held accountable, particularly in regard to electric usage and environmental impacts. Governor Shapiro's GRID plan aims to address these concerns and I look forward to working with him on this initiative.
