One of the most powerful tools an Autocrat has is justification. They endlessly accuse Democrats of things like Gerrymandering and weaponizing the DoJ and Courts so that they can justify doing those same things. That way, their base will accept it without question.

While I accept that there is value in local representation, I think the House should work like this: If there are 10 seats, you vote for 10 people. The votes are totaled and split by party. Let's say it's 55/45 favor red. The GOP gets 6 seats, and then they are assigned districts by the State.
