#HappyBirthdayTolkien
According to Ryszard Derdziński, the surname "Tolkien" is probably Low Prussian meaning "son of Tolk", ultimately from Slavic *tъlkъ
Slavic *tъlkъ from PIE *tlkʷ-: "talk". The form *tlokʷ- also survives in Latin "loquor", as in "loquacious", "eloquent", "locution", etc.
add a skeleton here at some point
