With Joel Embiid (sinus fracture) reportedly set to be re-evaluated in one week, it looks like he is set to miss the #Sixers' next three games (at Hornets, vs Hornets and at Cavaliers). According to that timeline, the first game Embiid might be back for is a home matchup with the Spurs on Dec. 23.

Nick Nurse says Joel Embiid has another evaluation on his face this afternoon. Hasn’t been ruled out for tomorrow yet, Nurse said, but they still need more information. Embiid wearing a mask is a possibility, but it hasn’t been determined. Nurse called that 50/50.

Just for context, 34 NBA seasons would be ~15,000 player seasons. 16 such fractures in 15,000 seasons for the rest of the NBA, compared 3 in 9 seasons for Embiid. These aren't repetitive stress injuries or re-aggravations of existing injuries. It's really, really, bad luck.
