In a country that largely has leaned into unfettered imperialism and the dark ages when it comes to education, l'm finding myself at the easel more, in my books, and sitting with my thoughts. Hoping a brighter, gentler, caring society lie ahead the future of my kids one day.

Woke up to much needed rain on the Salish Sea today. These gray shrouded, driftwood covered, pebble beaches will always feel so incredibly special. 10% off of all prints and 3-4 originals left on my website until my next collection launches on 3/23.

Took a week to collect reference photos from the Salish sea to the north cascades. Hiked the islands, drove the cascades, and played a hockey tournament all 4 weeks postpartum. Feeling physically exhausted, but my soul feels renewed. Next up on the easel, 'A River Runs Through It'

2 years ago we played an outdoor hockey tournament in Washington state where the temperature of our first game at 7 am was -21 F degrees. It was something. My eyelashes froze. My toes were numb for an hour after that game. But, maybe most impressive the river froze, nearly entirely. (1/2)

The In Bloom Collection launches Monday 4/14. Summer always arrives. In the coldest, darkest, sometimes most hopeless feeling of times, the most fragile hope and beauty will always still bloom, from every vein of land, until it becomes an overwhelming force of nature.

My background before art was clinical laboratory science research in an HLA lab at Stanford, followed by 10+ years in biotech. Does anyone know if Canada is fast tracking personnel with medical lab experience in their expedited entry for medical personnel? Interested in learning more about this.

I quit my corporate career because I’m meant to be painting full time and I was tired of contributing to the US rat race. We can not have a healthy society, while we choose money above all else. There is light in this country. Wonderful diversity of humans and ecosystems. We must fight for it.

Light in the Pacific Northwest. It is magic. I wish I could bottle it up and give it to every soul that needs it right now. This light binds so many, diverse people in the upper right of North America. If you are scared right now, you are not alone. I see you. I’m sending you love from Seattle.

I painted this from a massive storm at Deception Pass, WA. Waves roaring in. I wondered if the gulls floating so still on the wind gusts were playing, or hunting those creatures in the waves who are at a disadvantage in the storm. (1/2)
