The In Bloom Collection launches Monday 4/14. Summer always arrives. In the coldest, darkest, sometimes most hopeless feeling of times, the most fragile hope and beauty will always still bloom, from every vein of land, until it becomes an overwhelming force of nature.

My background before art was clinical laboratory science research in an HLA lab at Stanford, followed by 10+ years in biotech. Does anyone know if Canada is fast tracking personnel with medical lab experience in their expedited entry for medical personnel? Interested in learning more about this.

I quit my corporate career because I’m meant to be painting full time and I was tired of contributing to the US rat race. We can not have a healthy society, while we choose money above all else. There is light in this country. Wonderful diversity of humans and ecosystems. We must fight for it.

I’ve been pondering light and searching for gratitude, even in the darkest of moments. In honor of light, gratitude, the work of Gaudi and Caravaggio, and the glorious light of the Pacific Northwest, I’ve decided on my February collection theme: ‘In Search of Light'

Light in the Pacific Northwest. It is magic. I wish I could bottle it up and give it to every soul that needs it right now. This light binds so many, diverse people in the upper right of North America. If you are scared right now, you are not alone. I see you. I’m sending you love from Seattle.

I painted this from a massive storm at Deception Pass, WA. Waves roaring in. I wondered if the gulls floating so still on the wind gusts were playing, or hunting those creatures in the waves who are at a disadvantage in the storm. (1/2)

The Whispers of Winter Collection. Launching 1/20 at 8 am pacific. A collection dedicated to the slow, quiet days of winter. The pastel hues that grace early sunsets, the calm of snow deep on the Cascades and gray blanketing the Salish Sea. A collection meant to bring calm.

The Salish Sea in January: Sometimes it roars, 10 ft waves pushed in from bomb cyclones, sometimes it rolls gently in, with barely a ripple in the water. So still a sea gull gliding over it leaves a shadow where it serenely passed. ‘Sea Glass', 10"x10". Whispers of Winter Collection coming 1/20.

I took myself on a solo date to the Seattle Art Museum today. To get lost in the exhibits. As a kid I would take a sketchbook and draw the exhibits. My art is shaped by decades of art and nature. From the Cleveland Art Museum to the coastal bluffs of Washington state.

‘Last Light on Diablo Lake’, 24”x36”, Acrylic on Canvas. One of my favorites to paint from 2024. This was the last weekend the highway 20 pass was open to cross the state and golden hour put on quite the view. I had to paint it.
