I am clearly very tired. Twice this week I’ve batch prepared meals I make all the time and twice I forgot an important ingredient. In things with like 5 ingredients max 😂 (the results are fine, just not as good as they should be)

I like my car a lot, but I wish it was dumber. The GPS system is a stalker that, even though I never use it (I use google on my phone), makes creepily accurate time-and-day-based destination address recommendations. And it rats me out to the dealership about maintenance it is programmed to want

I want to emphasize that AXIS's demise largely arose from Goddard being forced to align with FY26 president's budget request (PBR) which zeroed the Probe program. Goddard lost SO MUCH following the PBR, even though the Congressional budget kept that funding! Remember that as FY27 PBR comes soon. 🔭🧪

Procrastinating making my slides for a colloquium talk tomorrow by doing my taxes and the Arizona system sucks as always for not providing a way to e-file simple fillable forms. Can only e-file if you use software for both federal and AZ tax returns. I hate tax software so I won’t do it.

Gus is the best. He just had an echocardiogram. Two people held him in position while the third shaved part of his belly, applied leads and goop, then took the readings. He remained chill and focused on the tube treat I brought. They’d never seen such calm and focus from a cat before 😂

Sigh. Still nothing obviously, identifiably wrong with my shoulder after the ultrasound exam. He did find an area of worse arthritis and some fluid buildup that could be a contributing factor. Did a steroid injection there and will see if that helps
