Leafs unfortunately gave EVs batteries a bad name.

Got some quotes for adding to our solar panels (currently only 2kw since 2014) plus batteries. Currently with Meridian on their EV plan for our 2 EVs. Price increases from 1st May amount to 24% - an additional $766 over last year. Those panels and battery are looking pretty good! Pays to check.

Lots of people are getting quotes to put solar on rooftops, me included. With talk of subsidies from some parties, that may make people pause. If they do eventuate, I hope they're targeted so lower income households can take advantage, rather than those who can just add to the mortgage. #nzpol
