Some of my student gamemasters have been having trouble making it to the school gaming club lately, so this week I ran the #Pathfinder Beginner Box for four players. They had no problem picking up the action system. Of course, my very first attack roll was a crit against the wizard.

Yesterday, I managed to pick up the last two #Warhammer Heroes boxes at my local Target. They turned out to be the Intercessor and the Infernus Marines. Today, I picked up some Imperium monthlies containing Sororitas models for a great price at a local game store flea market. #Warhammer4Ok

I managed to mail order a copy of the Warhammer Dawn of War: Onslaught board game from Target a week or so ago, and I'm finally assembling some of the minis. While they are push-fit models, I'm still using a bit of glue here and there just to make them more solid. #warhammer #warhammer40k

It's been a busy couple of days—at least in terms of my #Warhammer40k projects. I finished painting my Tyranids Combat Patrol (except the bases). Then I finished up a few Space Marine test models. Finally, I converted an Assault Intercessor into a Grey Hunter using old Space Wolves bits.

Yesterday was my wife's birthday! No, this is not what I gave her as gifts. Yesterday was also our 20th wedding anniversary, so my wife forced me (seriously, she even escorted me into the store) to spend a bunch of money on #Warhammer40k minis! So, happy anniversary to me! #Warhammer

I ran a short #dnd adventure for 3 middle-schoolers at this week's school gaming club. There are usually 7 kids at that table, but the turnout has been low for the last few weeks. We did have one table of high school students, run by my daughter, an adult volunteer and former member of the club.

We finally started sorting all the Magic the Gathering cards the gaming club received from @magikids.bsky.social. Most of the students have no experience with Magic, so everything was new and cool for them. We aren't quite ready to start playing, but we're getting closer. #magicthegathering

We were missing one of our gamemasters this week, so I ran #Dragonbane for some of the students in the school gaming club. They easily picked up on the simpler rules and definitely enjoyed the more gritty fantasy elements. #ttrpg

These buildings are from my childhood model railroad setup, first purchased for me 45 to 50 years ago. I am finally painting them so I can use them with miniatures games such as The Walking Dead All-Out War and Zona Alfa. #paintingminiatures

I didn't realize it, but a couple of weeks ago, I crossed the 100-student mark for my school gaming club. I am now at 102 unique students involved in the club over the last 9 years, ~97% of whom had never played a #TTRPG before. Not bad for a small (less than 600 students), rural school. #dnd

I decided to give #Warhammer40k 10th edition a try. Solo, as usual. I used the Combat Patrol rules with my #Oldhammer minis (Eldar vs. Imperial Guard, or Aeldari vs. Astra Militarum), though I had to proxy a few things. It was fun, but the Combat Patrol format has some issues.

I started the school's #WarhammerAlliance club *mostly* to introduce students to the miniatures wargaming hobby...but I'm starting to think that maybe it was also so I could have an excuse to buy more #Warhammer stuff. #Warhammer40k

Finally finished these four Imperial Guard Commissars I've had sitting around for around 25 years, so it feels good to see them painted. The bases are simpler than I'd like, but I wanted them to match the rest of the army, which I painted a couple of decades ago. #warhammer40k #oldhammer

Last night I assembled the first #Warhammer40k Eldar (er...Aeldari) miniature I have assembled in over 20 years. The Eldar were my first #40k love, starting back in 1990. This mini is the free #Warhammer store mini for March. I've included a pic with one of my original Fire Dragons for comparison.

One of my fellow teachers has an FDM printer in his classroom, and he's been printing terrain for my #WarhammerAlliance club. The prints aren't perfect, but they'll do fine, especially once they are painted. There are a lot of supports to pull off. Luckily, I actually enjoy that part. #warhammer

On Thursday we had our monthly club day at school, so the #WarhammerAlliance club was back in action. There were 8 players (and 1 observer) playing Space Marines vs. Necrons, and they quickly learned: 1. How tough Marines are and 2. How deadly Assault Intercessors can be. #Warhammer40k

We were missing five of our regulars at the school gaming club this week, but the games went on. The rolls to see who gets first dibs at snacks caused much laughter: Table 1: 4 (on a d20) Table 2 (with advantage): 4, 4 Table 3 (with disadvantage) 4, 17. An unlikely 3-way tie. #dnd

Worked on some #Oldhammer #Warhammer40k miniatures today. The commissars have all of their base colors and are waiting for some shading. I'm pleased with the blue of the assassin's suits. My only complaint is the ridiculous amount of detail on these minis! #miniaturepainting #paintingwarhammer
