Sometimes I wonder if all those “built only with CSS” demos actually make people think that is desirable when building websites?

Marketing to devs can be hard. It is something a lot of marketers struggle with. When I watch something like this It is immediately obvious that the person who came up with it knows nothing about CSS or web development.

Cursor’s new visual editor: Right idea. Wrong implementation
Cursor's new visual editor lets you update your applications UI directly from the browser. It is an excellent feature but with a half-baked execution.

100% The main issue with Wysiwyg editors was that what you saw was not actually what you got :) But visual editors on the web were never really built for professionals. That is changing. There is no reason why code should be faster than a dedicated editor.

STOP WASTING TIME! Visual tools for creating CSS gradients have existed for decades! It's just not intuitive to visualise CSS gradients using text. Why waste time switching between visual tools and IDEs when you can do everything in one place?
