Just finished reading this and I’m kind of in awe at Fox’s writing. It was tumultuous and heady and heartbreaking and addictive. It was fast-paced and vivid in a way that I haven’t seen before in a memoir. Less than a month into 2025 and it’s already one of my favourite reads of the year.

My only issue was that it probably could have been about 20 minutes shorter. At times it felt a little drawn out and bloated with scenes that were of little consequence but that final shot will be stay with me for a long while

I absolutely loved the cinematography and the visuals, the bleakness of the set alongside the bleakness of the story was so immersive that it made it feel like a true gothic horror.

Anna Maxwell Martin has had one hell of a year… featured in some of the best TV shows of the year (Until I Kill You, Ludwig) and popping up in one of this years most long awaited finales (Gavin & Stacey), she literally never misses!!!
