You know what's a lost art? Those window frame covers on books. I grew up seeing those on my grandmother's paperbacks copies of V.C.Andrews' Flowers in the Attic series and they just don't seem to do that anymore.

For anyone looking to do a horror movie a night in October, I suggest using Tubi for it. Lots of variety of horror movies, and it being a free streaming service helps a lot. Especially because some of them, the most terrifying part is how bad they are 😂

One complaint I have about Torchlight 3 is storage. I'm fine with limited storage when you can make more items to store things. Or improve the storage you have for a cost or as you level. But when you don't exactly get that, it's annoying.

Watched a video on the Hunter The Reckoning video game, and it got me thinking about how it was a fun game. And how it sucks that there hasn't been an HD remaster of the trilogy. It was a fun group of games, and more people should have played them.

Watching a video about a game series and the presenter said something along the lines of "It suckes there's no tutorials" and I'm thinking "Of course there are no tutorials. When that game came out we still got MANUALS with our games." So yes, I'm old.

May as well enjoy the sunflowers while we got them.

So since finishing Torchlight 2, I started Torchlight 3 and there's parts about it I really like. Things like the Base being across the board for any character you make, and the stash being the same. Not fond of the warp point map though.

Every now and then, I wonder if I'm annoying on the Discord servers I'm part of. But then I think that people really do need to know about the dangers of unintentional cannibalism, especially since Halloween is coming up.

While the children may be our future, I will say I hate the fact the little mud grubbers can get WAY more cool fan clothing options than I had at their age. Case in point, this jacket I'd have killed for when I was 10 or so.

I think it's safe to say that the majority of nostalgia for the 80's boils down to the media in question having a cool car.

I've done about 40 songs on the song AI site/app which given I've done about 1 a day isn't too bad. My rhymes are only slightly improved, but hey I've basically "written" 4 albums worth of music. And I do like a few of them a lot. Still not a musician though.

So I finished the first episode of @rpgeeksdnd.bsky.social new series Mythic today and I am really interested to see how the Loyalty mechanic that @emzywb.bsky.social set up will play out. Because it gives a motivation for players to act certain ways other than "Oh it's my alignment".

I saw an article yesterday about how strip clubs are dying and I'm honestly not surprised. I mean if you were a stripper, would you want to be pawed at by drunks, work late hours, possibly have no health insurance, and maybe be terrified going home?

Seeing a Session Zero before a campaign begins is interesting, and slightly frustrating. On one hand, getting rough drafts of what the players will be is fascinating, but keeping my personal imagination in check for things like suggestions has to be tempered.

One Piece this, Naruto that, you know the show people don't talk but more should watch? The Law of Ueki. Had some of the most interesting powers AND uses of those powers and when Ueki breaks a mind, he shatters it.

So finished Chroma Squad, onto the next game in the library and now I'm going to maybe finish Lost In Random (I got to Two-Town before other games over took it), and I forgot how much fun and odd it is. Just fun art style, and that sort of Addams-Gorey-esque style.

Just watched the first episode of The Paper (current) and I now realize why I never got into the American version of The Office: They focused on the wrong story. Now, watching the original, I knew the story was the romance between Tim and Dawn, NOT David...

Finished Chroma Squad and I have a few thoughts. 1.Excellent game, and the fact you can change difficulty as you play is the only reason I was able to get through the last fights. 2.Excellent New Game+ because you keep everything you have when you beat the game, and enemies drop upgraded materials.

I'm nearing the end of Chroma Squad (I think, I've just finished season 5) and it's a shame that the lawsuit Saban slapped on the studio probably destroyed any chance of a sequel. It's a fun tactical game with fun mechanics. Yeah it's 10 years old now, just means sales.

Rewatching Diagnosis: Murder(on Hallmark + and Pluto) and hit an episode that showcases something that annoys me about detective shows. And that is when the detective is dismissive of a companion or side character's attempt to report on something hinky (say finding a body)...

Unlike other video gamers (I'm old, I'm broke,etc.), I'm playing Chroma Squad as opposed to the new Hollow Knight. If you're playing SilkSong, hope you enjoy it. I on the other hand am going to be working on my digital Super Sentai studio, and not pulling out my hair trying to do double jumps

I've run into the snag with being a free member for making AI music. A 4 minute max time, coupled with the tendency for certain genres having more fiddlely bits that eat up those 4 minutes before finishing the song.

Nice to know with everything going on in the world today, medical science could take the time and focus on a pill to straighten out bent dicks. 😑

Restarting Crown Trick and still trying to figure out how I want to play it. It's a rogue-lite, but I haven't unlocked too many buffs yet. The art style is very cute though.
