YESSS! This is the baseline latency we should expect from a CI pipeline. Nice to see what can be done when you're in control and not github actions or whatever. (The time it takes for the little package icon to turn white or red is the duration my VPS takes to compile and run a trivial c file)

Quite often when using tools you don't really get enough information about what system resources it is using. This is something that specially bugs me when using resource heavy apps, so from the next version of Ark VCS it tracks all its resources in real time. #gamedev

looked a bit more into how Ark VCS has evolved, and there are really cool features! For example you can have your CI system annotate changelists (commits) with "build flags" (really build status). That will show a little icon next to the commit that can be clicked to open the corresponding build.

Here are the cool Ark VCS icons from my post yesterday: You can specify path rules in Ark that map to names and icons, so when you're looking at the history you can easily see which commits have certain types of content. It's mostly a fun thing for now but I think it can become quite useful. :)

Been using ark-vcs.com for a few weeks now. Not done anything advanced, not even branches. But it seems like a better version of Perforce. Hopefully it gets more users and more active development. I'm happy to not be using git for hobby stuff anymore.
