The weight and heaviness of tradition is what stifles so many of us. Puts & keeps us in a box. Now don’t get me wrong, upholding certain tradition/s aren’t necessarily bad, they are necessary. However it’s important to give a good amount of room for new tradition/s, new ways of being & doing.

I urge and encourage any woman who desires to be a “traditional” wife and mother to study the Addams Family. The Addams Family are quite literally one of the best examples, specifically for the straight folks of a healthy, happy and thriving family & marriage.

Maturing is buying them big bags/boxes of Mexican powder laundry detergent for the low low. And it literally lasting you at least 6 months to a year if not longer. Easily one of the best adulting decisions I’ve made so far.

Time + location freedom. I do what I want, when I want.

Rigid schedules. I operate way better through flow. Things will get done whenever it gets done.

Ovulation in your 30s & up is so wild because why as soon as I turned 30 my uterus was like: “bring forth an heir” and I absolutely refuse to.

Had a whole conversation with my niece about how there are levels to adulthood. I told her she’s a baby adult and just starting out. And I’m really just cosplaying adulthood in my 30s. But her nana and papa are like the OG adults.

It’s important that we are partying and are apart of the event scene well into our 30s, 40s, 50s, 60+. We don’t grow out of meeting new people, connecting & experiencing. The funny thing is, many of us tend to become younger as we grow older.

One of the reasons I’m learning how to bartend is because I’m always throwing, hosting or apart of some get together/house party & the people deserve a cute bartender to flirt with.

One thing about me is I will keep my phone, laptop, iPad & any other electronics until the wheels fall off. I literally kept my last phone for like 7 years & my laptop for like 10+ years. Oh & I’m quick to buy “open box” & refurbished electronics, especially from Apple & Best Buy.
