Listen I am of the opinion that the best movies are 90 minutes long and 3 hours is frankly unnecessary HOWEVER there are two exceptions: every Lord of the Rings, and RRR. I for one can't wait for whatever the hell this is gonna be.

Rebuilding website content at work for the last month has reminded me that doing a bunch of close reading and editing in the office for 8 hours makes it really hard to go home and do MORE close reading and editing. My reservoir for that thing is straight up empty.

I started watching this crew a couple of years ago, watching them play COC and Pendragon and really enjoying their chemistry. They are a group of players with Dave usually but not always the gamemaster who really seem to enjoy each other's play. You can't manufacture that.

Caught "Weapons" this week and Zach Cregger does a super impressive thing in both this and "Barbarian" where he delivers a disrupted, nonlinear narrative through multiple perspectives (an incredible tension management device) without fucking up immersion.

iiiiits budget day! When the fucken weirdo on fb/in the office starts with their shitty, hot-off-the-murdoch-press takes, just remember: the only bad debt is debt you can't repay, everyone with a mortgage has debt, and australia has way less debt than the OECD average so it's a moot point anyway.
