Yet the right wing culture warriors keep banging on about the CBC being a mouthpiece for the Liberals. People who believe that and regurgitate this tired talking point don’t likely spend any time actually watching or listening to the CBC.

Governments don’t expect drivers to shovel their own lanes. They shouldn’t expect people walking, biking, or rolling to shovel their own, either.

In @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social, our electeds are very proactive in making our streets safer for people to walk by installing a bunch of beg buttons with flashy lights for drivers to ignore! I'm thinking that changing road designs to reduce speed and force driver attention hasn't crossed their minds.

Current status:

In @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social the infrastructure doesn’t exist where people need to go. As a result, not only children ride on sidewalks, adults do as well. Can’t blame them.

Are my fellow bike commuters ever going to learn to adjust their headlights so that they don't blind oncoming traffic? I commented to one this morning that their strobe was blinding. Their reply, "Yeah, that's the point!" No awareness of the danger of light blindness.

This is a reminder for all cyclists to file your T-7725C with the Canada Revenue Agency to ensure you don't pay any taxes. This is a very real thing, and it is what completely justifies drivers wanting to murder us. Like, it's completely understandable.

When a person ages out of driving, bikes are there to offer continued freedom. Shame @cityofnorthvan.bsky.social doesn't provide the infrastructure to support this freedom.
