This is your occasional reminder that Rose O'Neill, creator of the Kewpies, first published female cartoonist in the United States, and among the first cartoonists to build a merchandising empire on their work, turned out some absolutely baller, romantic-feeling size-difference monster art.

You know how the metric for telling if someone is a good citizen is if they put their shopping cart away? If I worked at a grocery store, putting away shopping carts would be my FAVOURITE job. ⬇️

Washington, D.C. yesterday. "Shut down the Senate, Shut down the Senate." Chanted for hours. More massive
#USprotests
, ongoing. Sources here report, "Millions of people are getting ready as we speak to take this country back and save the USA. Their days are numbered. Stay tuned."

Today in 1461 young Edward of York routed the Lancastrians, under Tudor leadership, at Mortimer's Cross. There was a parhelion, like this one I saw a few years back. It panicked the Lancastrians but Edward thought quickly & told his men it represented the Trinity; clearly God was on their side.

I think something we don't appreciate enough as a society is that for the majority of human history hearing a particular piece of music was only possible if you could find someone in a public place/event playing it, owned an instrument/knew it yourself, or were rich and could employ a musician.
