I wore this album OUT when I started getting into older hip-hop. The JBs were the first showing of the Native Tongues, featured a young Q-Tip before Tribe, and set off the Afrocentric wave in rap. Their debut sounds a bit dated and rough, but has standout listens. Their 2nd album is top-tier.
