Exactly this. There is a fine line between ageism and legitimate concern when considering the physical and mental status of older adults. Many media outlets and people fall consistently on the wrong side of the line; but equally as consistent is the pass offered to "conservative" elders.

My only issue with this is he's buried the lede in the conclusion: Any action by the United States against Greenland creates opportunities for both Russia and China.

For people counting ICE agents as a potential occupying force and coming up short, may I gently remind you that *a lot* of local law enforcement officers are aligned with ICE and their worst behaviors barely contained by law and civilian oversight. Citizens still outnumber both roughly 200 to 1.

A reminder: Abolishing ICE and DHS are *tactics*, not a strategy, and are not goals. What we want and need are laws that authorize programs which manage immigration effectively and support individuals and organizations.

Just a reminder that when we allow people with authority to behave with cruelty and impunity, regardless of where they may be on the ideological spectrum, we weaken a cultural belief in equality and justice for all.

There are really good structural reasons why a national strike in the US is very, very difficult to organize. Maybe we need to start thinking about how to target and boycott specific organizations that support the US government. Because they are enabling the regime's actions.
