Vale of Glamorgan: Residents think NR are committing criminal offences by felling trees during nesting season & without the correct ecological reports. The Council confirmed that the trees are protected by Tree Preservation Orders, but that NR is going ahead regardless.

Government guidance (inc the Varley report) was supposed to have stopped Network Rail’s programme of mass tree felling. Charities, communities and the govt told NR not to fell millions of trees. NR agreed to stop. Now NR has reneged on this.
