12266. The Bob Crane Show "Mid-Term Blues" - An attempted comeback that's essentially "Carols Second Act" in the 70's. This was surprisingly good. There's too many characters but the writing is snappy & mature, there's good chemistry and some surprisingly edgy humor. (B+)

12265. Pluribus “Pirate Lady” - The casting for extras in this must’ve been so fun, as literally anybody can be anything. On the other hand living in a world where every time you get mad millions die… a nightmare. Or did you really kill anybody as they’re all still alive in the Borg? (A-)

12265. Pluribus “We is Us” - Going in I knew there was a sci-fi twist to this but (minor spoilers I guess) I was guessing more Black Mirror than Twilight Zone. A great pilot, and I trust Vince Gilligan of course, but I’m a bit wary of where this might go for no good reason, frankly. (A)

12264. Fish "Chief Fish" - The final ep, where chief gets a job offer in Georgia, another potential spinoff that never happened? Well, no, but I'd of watched it. This series started off as awful as its reputation, but by the end I grew to love it & wish there was more. (B)

12263. Newsradio "Spooky Rapping Crypt" - I think this is the best ep of the final I've seen so far. It's a simple bottle ep where Matthew is stupid, Beth is cute, Joe is malicious, JJ is weird Dave is exasperated and Max finally fits in. Like, it hits all the characters ids. (B)

Random thought I’ll never know the answer to: I wonder when the last time somebody in a movie or TV show set “now” used a pay phone or the first time someone used a cell phone on screen where it wasn’t noted in a “wow, you have a cellular phone?” way.

12262. Parker Lewis Can't Lose "The B* is Back" - No, not the one in apartment 23, some former love of Parkers that shows up in a Mikey dating ep, always this shows low points. Amazing how on this show when characters kiss they're not really THAT much closer to each other. (B-)

12261. Andor “Jehda, Kyber, Erso” - What a strange, melancholy way to end this series. I guess they felt obligated to serve two masters, to tell both the story of these characters but also to set up Rogue One. I wish they hadn’t bothered with the latter. Ah well, fantastic series nonetheless. (B)

12260. Andor “Who Else Knows?” - We’re getting to the part that directly connects with Rogue One which means we’re running into the part of prequels I’m not much of a fan of, where all the Easter eggs are now important. Between that & the flashier than usual direction this gets a (B+)

12259. Andor “Make it Stop” - Well, in this we get glimpses into what both “CSI: Coruscant” & “Coruscant Med” would look like. Been reading about the American Revolution lately. Rebellions, especially the righteous ones, are messy, disturbing things. This w doesn’t stray away from that. Good. (A-)

12258. Andor “Welcome to the Rebellion” - It only took nearly 20 episodes but our main characters finally meet (if momentarily) in what is surely the most exciting thing to ever happen in what looks like an Orlando convention center. Every ep is an amazing little spy movie. (A)

12257. Andor “Who Are You?” - Not quite as spectacular as the last protest that turned into an Imperial massacre and there’s some character choices I frankly don’t understand (especially Syril & Andor’s un-itchy trigger finger) but you can’t go wrong w/a such a spectacular set piece. (A-)

12256. Andor “Messenger” - Another calm before the storm episode, this show sure has its patterns. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, this series world building, in a universe that’s been already established for 40+ years, is beyond amazing. (A-)
