Another #boardgame off the #shelfofshame Tempus by #MartinWallace is a 2-5 player civ-lite game published in 2006. Graphics wise it shows its age. It does give the 4x feel in a few hours. I'd play it again. Perhaps I won't wait 14 years. That's how long I have owned my copy.

Have a perfectly good Win10 computer that will not upgrade to Win11 due to not being super duper? Check Windows Updates to see if ESU is an option. My games are manufactured in the United States. It is incredibly expensive to produce, there is almost no profit margin, we cannot distribute in stores, and I get frequent complaints about component quality for the pricepoint that allows us to eke out a living... in Detroit, a cheap place to live. 🧵

#SoCalWargamers at Geeky Teas in Burbank yesterday. The main #boardgame was Purple Haze. It’s a mission driven sort-of RPG. No spoilers but the gang had fun. #BoardWargames for 7 is tough. Karl had brought along Alliances block game by Columbia Games on the Napoleonic Wars. I found it very meh.

Boxing Day of gaming aka #BoxingDOG was 8 hours of #boardgames for the #VCSBG group I managed to play 5 different games including one #boardgame new to me in Rebirth designed by #reinerkniza . As expected it was mechanically simple but lots of tough mathematical choices. Good times.
