Petiolaris, or Laris for short, is trans. When he fell out of his pod he woke up as a pink lady and after roughly 4 years of searching he started to regrow himself as the blue man he is now. Since he is based on hydrangea as a sylvari i never considered the pink to blue pipeline until recently xD
