#OneBattleAfterAnother is an exceptionally impressive juggling act of high-octane action and chaotically intertwining threads. It pulls out enough of a heart with the familial arc despite some characters getting underserved and the bitch-basic commentary of oppression = bad. 8/10

#FantasticFour is fine? Great stuff with the family element and retro vibes but really bland action and editing. Also my crowd gasped at the mid-credit scene like it wasn’t the most obvious reveal possible.

EDDINGTON is Ari Aster’s most solid work in a while. It takes a bit to get going, but it’s a wildly maddening satire of how easily exploitable political extremes are.

I love that the teaser for THE ODYSSEY is currently theater-exclusive. I am 100% on board with more movies doing that and getting some wonder back into movie trailers.

Alright, so #Superman is eccentric, warmhearted, funny, and has bits of gleefully biting satire. It’s also a giant effin mess that’s more concerned with wowing you than telling a story half the time. I liked it, but I came nowhere close to loving it. #SupermanMovie

#NowSeated for #Superman . I’ve got some concerns (being overcrowded, overcompensating for past criticisms, being too inside baseball), but I’m hoping it can deliver the goods and be the first Superman movie I really like!

Yeah #F1Movie slaps so hard.

Okay, I know a few critics found early non-press screenings of #JurassicWorldRebirth and are posting reviews because those are supposedly unbound by embargo. But… is that really how it works? Even if so, I’ve seen enough reviews to make me a bit suspicious of how exactly they saw the film.

I liked M3GAN 2.0 about as much as the first. It trades horror for action, ups the fun factor, and continues juggling camp with a decent heart, if not as sharp a script.

#JurassicWorldRebirth starts off good, then once they reach the island it’s another Jurassic Park sequel. It looks and sounds grand, but the solid character setup goes nowhere, the effects are weak, and the family subplot could’ve been cut. Didn’t need to exist.
