Moss, canonically, is a paladin. If his husband is taking the van, he picks up a second sword instead of a shield (and this is my explanation for why i viper in dungeons when it's Warr's turn to tank)

Moss was born in Waentyl, a tiny fishing village near Aleport, huddled under a cliff, near the ruins of Nym. The village was completely destroyed by a combination of seismic activity and a tsunami during the Calamity and he is the only survivor. (he was in the hills with the sheep at the time)

Moss has had THREE major retcons in his story and i just added another when i did the endwalker role quests, decided it would be neat if he and Merlwyb had the same biological father. In the end this tidbit is pointless because neither one of them knows BUT I THINK IT'S NEAT AND I WRITE FOR MEEEEE.

Moss wears a leg brace! During the escape from the Porta Decumana, some falling debris fell on his leg and crushed his ankle. He insisted on others getting medical attention first and as a result it healed wrong.

Moss's full name is Moss Haldi'waebsyn, but he usually just goes by Moss. I'm not actually sure Wuk Lamat even knows he *has* a last name.

i had to rewrite Moss's backstory three times and still do small edits. Originally he was going to be a 40yo mercenary who was adventuring to pay for his adopted daughter to go to arcanist school. But story points meant i had to make him more naive and willing to follow the orders of a teenager.

Moss is the tallest Roegadyn he's ever seen, and this has caused people to assume he's older than he actually is through most of his life. People assumed he was 18 when he was barely 15, and that he was in his late 20s at the beginning of ARR (he was 19). He's never corrected anyone on this.
